How to choose fabric for cassock's sewing

For sewing ordinary vestments, we use one of several fabric's types. Each of them has its own advantages.


The vestment of it is the lightest. This is durable, will not be creased, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly after washing. Suitable for day-to-day use for all seasons. Vestments made of polyester has the lowest price.


Ideal for hot and humid tropical climates, for the summer period, as well as for aged people and tight physique. Flax absorbs moisture well, it is antistatic and it has good bactericidal properties.


This is an artificial fabric made of wood fibers. To improve consumer qualities, it is usually not used in its pure form. Viscose vestments are comfortable to wear, they are free of the specific luster inherent in synthetic fibers. Rayon is a good suit fabric. It is suitable for everyday wear all year long.


This material is for a cool climate or for the cold season. The vestments of high quality 100% wool will not be creased. They require careful care, delicate washing and delicate ironing. Dry cleaning recommended.

Wet Silk

This is a thin fabric of deep black color with a pleasant matte sheen. The vestments made of wet silk are light, look expensive, will not be creased, are comfortable to wear and well washed.
