Sticharion for Adults

The sticharion is a product slightly widen to the bottom with long straight sleeves. On the bottom of the sleeve and dress is stitched two rows of galloon. Slits under the sleeves and yoke are also trimmed along the edge with a narrow galloon. The neck is trimmed with galloon and fastens with a button. On the back one cross in size of 16-21 cm is sewn, depending on the size of the vestments. It is desirable to select a cross and a galloon in harmony in color and pattern with brocade from which the product is sewn. The vestment can be performed both on a lining and without it, to reduce the cost of production.

Altar Server Sticharion: Features

The altar server sticharion is a church liturgical vestment for the altar server. The altar server's vestment is similar to the deacon's, but does not have side cuts that fasten with buttons. There are only small incisions under armpit for ease of movement during service. There is no fundamental difference in the style of altar server's and deacon's sticharion. Cheaper fabrics — viscose, brocade with lurex, or brocade with a small pattern — are often used to sew altar server sticharion.
