Cilice (Sackcloth) male made of linen cloth sewn with adding of hard horsehair.

This model is a reconstruction of Tsar Ivan the Terrible shirt. It is constructed from rectangular pieces of fabric with a width of not more than 60 cm. That corresponds to the width of the loom on which the textile was weaving in the 16th century. Trapezoidal pieces are sewn to the sleeves, this is provided for the hand movement. There is a deep neckline along the front of the shirt. It fastens with handmade cord buttons.
